In October 1972, Giant Baba has left from JWA and has organized own federation - AJPW. Their first show was held October, 21 1972, in Tokyo, Japan. AJPW continues to exist and till present day, it takes the third place in "the big three" pro-wrestling. In AJPW wresle and was wrestle many well-known wrestlers such as: Vader, Steve Williams, Kronik, Mike Awesome, Keiji Muto, Toshiaki Kawada, Rick Steiner, Goldberg and many others. Baba was president AJPW with 1972 on 1999, the following president became Mitshuara Misava, he was the president till May 2000, him have removed from this post then he had some disagreements with a management and together with Ace Steel has created the wrestling promotion which has named NOAH. In NOAH many have left wrestlers from AJPW, for example: Vader, Kento Kobashi, Akira Taue, Ian Akyama and others. Now president AJPW is Toshiaki Kawada. Toshiaki Kawada, and they prosper, as never. At AJPW it is a lot of PPV and one weekly show which goes on channel Nippon TV.
