1. Doom (Butch Reed and Ron Simmons) defeated Rick and Scott Steiner to win the NWA World Tag Team titles on May 19, 1990 in Washington, D.C. The title was renamed as the WCW World Tag Team titles in January of 1991. The NWA World Tag Team titles was considered vacant until July of 1992
2. The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes and Jimmy Garvin) already lost the titles to the Steiners at a television taping before winning the titles from Doom (Butch Reed and Ron Simmons)
3. The tag team title changed was aired on March 9, 1991. The titles were vacated on July 18, 1991 when Scott Steiner was injured
4. The Enforcers (Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko) defeated Rick Steiner and Bill Kazmier in a 8-team tournament final to win the titles
5. Terry Gordy and Steve Williams defeated Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes in a tournament final on July 12, 1992 in Albany, Georgia to win the NWA World Tag Team titles and unified with the WCW World Tag Team titles
6. Arn Anderson and Paul Roma defeated Steve Austin and Lord Steven Regal, who was subsituting for an injured Brian Pillman. The title recognition was dropped by the NWA in September of 1993 when WCW withdrew from the NWA. The title continues to be recognized by WCW. The NWA fought a court battle with WCW and held a tournament for the NWA World Tag Team titles in 1995
7. Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) defeated Sting and Lex Luger and The Steiner Borthers in a Triangle Match to win the titles
8. Rick and Scott Steiner defeated The Outsiders (Scott Hall and Kevin Nash) on January 26, 1997 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa but were forced to return the tag team titles back to the Outsiders on the next night by WCW Vice President, Eric Bischoff. The Giant and Lex Luger defeated The Outsiders on February 23, 1997 in San Francisco, California, but had to give the titles back the next night
9. Rick and Scott Steiner defeated Scott Hall and Syxx, who was subsituting for Kevin Nash
10. The titles were vacated on June 4, 1998 after Sting and The Giant broke up. The Giant put the titles on the line with Brian Adams against Diamond Dallas Page and Lex Luger on June 4, 1998. Luger and Page won the match, but WCW Chairman, James J. Dillon, said that the Giant and Sting should face each other and the winner of that match wins both belts and gets to choose a new tag team partner
11. Sting chose Kevin Nash to be his partnet after defeating the Giant in a singles match on the previous day in Baltimore, Maryland
12. Rick Steiner and Marcus Bagwell defeated The Giant and Scott Steiner, who was subsituting for Scott Hall, the previous night in Las Vegas, Nevada, but Bagwell turned on Rick Steiner. Rick Steiner chose Kenny Kaos as his new partner on October 26, 1998 in Phoenix, Arizona. The titles were vacated in Janaury of 1999 when Rick Steiner was injured
13. Barry Windham and Curt Hennig defeated Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko in a tournament final to win the tag team titles
14. Raven and Perry Saturn defeated Rey Misterio Jr. and Billy Kidman and Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko in a three-way match to win the titles
15. Diamond Dallas Page and Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Perry Saturn and Chris Kanyon, who was subsituting for an injured Raven. They lost the titles to Chris Benoit and Perry Saturn, who was subsituting for Ric Flair who left the ring during the match. Ric Flair declared the titles did not change because of the illegal subsitution, then gave the legal right to Diamond Dallas Page, Chris Kanyon, and Bam Bam Bigelow to use any comobnation to defend the titles
16. Chris Benoit and Perry Saturn defeated Diamond Dallas Page and Chris Kanyon to win the titles
17. Diamond Dallas Page and Chris Kanyon won the tag team titles
18. Konnan and Rey Misterio Jr. were stripped of the tag team titles in October of 1999 when Misterio was injured
19. Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) defeated Konnan and Billy Kidman and Brian Knobs and Hugh Morrus in a triangle match to win the titles
20. Crowbar and David Flair defeated Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner in a "Lethal Lottery" tournament final to win the titles
21. Vince Russo vacated the title on April 10, 2000 in Denver, Colorado. Buff Bagwell and Shane Douglas defeated Lex Luger and Ric Flair in the tournament final
22. Kronik (Bryan Clarke and Brian Adams) defeated Shane Douglas and The Wall (replacing Buff Bagwell, who was suspended for 30 Days) for the titles
23. Shawn Stasiak and Chuck Palumbo defeated Kronik by Disqualification to win the titles
24. Titles were vacated on September 18, 2000 when Disco Inferno was pinned by the Cat in a stipulation match. Mark Jindark and Sean O'Haire won the tag team titles in a battle royal by eliminating Rey Misterio Jr
25. Shawn Stasiak and Chuck Palumbo defeated Alex Wright and Elix Skipper for the titles
26. The titles were given back to Shawn Stasiak and Chuck Palumbo after a controversial finish by "Commissioner" Mike Sanders
